Discovery
Establish the target state with your Neocortex Expert and Business Lead.
The Neocortex lifecycle
From RFP and proposal to go live and continuous evolution, Neocortex stays human-led and grows with the organisation it serves.
2 weeks
Establish the target state with your Neocortex Expert and Business Lead.
Weekly
Design, build, test, validate and release in short cycles.
Human-led
AI executes; people retain authority over consequential decisions.
Always evolving
The live system learns, adapts and grows with your organisation.
The journey
Every stage produces something useful for the next. The approved proposal becomes the starting context for Discovery; Discovery becomes the target state; the target state becomes a working baseline; each weekly cycle makes the cortex more capable.
The engagement starts with the customer need, opportunity or RFP. Neocortex helps understand the problem, context, desired outcomes and constraints.
The proposal turns the opportunity into an agreed approach: outcomes, scope, architecture direction, delivery model, commercial assumptions and success measures.
Customer approval establishes the authorised baseline. Discovery begins from an approved engagement rather than from an open-ended AI experiment.
A Neocortex Expert is paired with the Customer Neocortex Human Expert — Business Lead. Together they establish the current state, target state and executable blueprint.
Neocortex configures and composes the agreed platform, capabilities, Personas, knowledge, integrations and trust controls into a working baseline.
The team works in short, repeatable cycles. Neocortex does the execution work while humans review the decisions that matter and continuously steer priorities.
When the agreed scope is complete, Neocortex assembles the evidence for functional, architecture, security, data, AI, operational and business readiness.
The Master Control Plane manages staged deployment, health checks, compatibility, migrations and rollback while humans retain release authority.
The new digital cortex is monitored closely after release. Human operators and Neocortex investigate issues, validate behaviour and stabilise operations.
Architecture, runbooks, ownership, monitoring, policies, integrations and known issues are captured in the living organisational knowledge base.
The solution enters normal production operation with formal human business sign-off. Go live is a milestone — not the end of evolution.
Neocortex continuously discovers organisational change, new knowledge, architecture drift, risks and opportunities — then feeds them into the next cycle.
Agentic production lifecycle
Neocortex applies the same evidence-driven lifecycle beyond software. An agent can research, write, design, generate an image or presentation, create a business document, test the result, capture evidence and close the work into an auditable outcome.
Context, requirements, constraints, acceptance criteria and policy.
Scope the work, select capabilities, identify gates and estimate human-equivalent effort.
Create code, documents, images, presentations, research or other agreed artefacts.
Review quality, security, accessibility, visual output, policy and automated tests through Core Testing and SecOps.
Capture screenshots, links, artefacts, release evidence, Trust Fabric decisions and the approved outcome.
Update the task and Change Request, record the outcome and feed learning into the next cycle.
Human gates remain explicit. Credentials, billing, production access, consequential decisions, legal/commercial approvals and ambiguous requirements are escalated rather than guessed. For client delivery, the final Change Request Report describes the outcome, evidence and human-equivalent estimate without exposing implementation details.
Human in the loop
The Neocortex Expert and the Customer Neocortex Human Expert — Business Lead remain paired throughout the engagement. The level of human involvement follows the consequence and risk of the action, rather than forcing people to manually approve every low-risk operation. Trust Fabric is enforced at the tool boundary, while Core Testing and SecOps provide evidence before release.
Transformation, architecture and delivery leadership.
Business context, priorities, decisions and acceptance.
Research, design, engineering, documentation, testing and operational execution.
Defines what can happen autonomously and where verification or approval is required.
The living cortex
New people. New systems. New knowledge. New risks. New opportunities. Neocortex grows with the organisation because it is built around the organisation.
