FOUNDATIONS
Core concepts
Workspaces, knowledge, personas, tools, tasks and artefacts.
Overview
These concepts describe how work is organised. Availability and exact behaviour depend on the Neocortex modules and integrations enabled in your environment.
Workspace
A bounded place for people, information, tasks and shared work. Access should follow organisational roles and need-to-know.
Knowledge and context
Source material and operating context used to inform work. Prefer authoritative, current sources and preserve provenance.
Persona
A defined role for a task, with an objective, instructions, permitted tools and expectations for review.
Tool and integration
A connection that allows a workflow to read from or act on another system. Each capability should have a clear owner and scope.
Task and workflow
A unit of work and the sequence of steps, decisions, approvals and hand-offs used to complete it.
Artefact and evidence
A document or other output, plus the relevant versions, decisions and records that help people assess how it was produced.
